Sorry, I'm not really bragging, but I just had to come on and say how proud I was of my little Girl today at Newark showground.She performed admirably and showed her little socks off for me.
She got 1st in Junior, Best Puppy and Reserve Best of Breed in TT's. She's just 7 months old and I feel so chuffed because I chose her out of my litter and you never know if you've kept the right one do you? Its nice when someone else (the judge) thinks your's is nice as well. I'd still love her though even if she wasn't up to show standards.
I do hope other CDers did well. How did you do Sam with your Bullies? did you have a good day?
And SarahL and Willow. Did you have a nice day also?
We were in Hall 1. Bullies and Beagles were in different ones so we didn't meet up, which is a shame.
Hope everyone who went all got home safe and sound, and ready for the next one!!

Well done on your win.  A friend of mine won best import gundog today with her young lad, so that was good news.

We did not do much in the breed but my 2 daughters came 1st and 2nd in a big handling class. This was a crufts qualifier so Hannah is thrilled.

         A quick question for you,my daughter came 3rd at the retford open show last weekend(in the 6-11 junior handling),has she qualified for crufts?
If not what shows do you need to enter to qualify?

Only first qualifies you for crufts. You can get a list of the shows that have qualifiers from the YKC.

Well done on your win - you must be really pleased.  Our internet's been 'down' since Monday so this is the first chance I've had of logging onto CD's - withdrawal symptons were creeping in!
Willow had one on her on Sunday.  How come - and I hope someone can answer this - she can walk perfectly outside the ring, stand nice and STILL and alert, but the moment she goes in the ring, she goes to pot.  Wouldn't stand still, walked at 100 miles an hour - just wouldn't settle down - so got a well deserved 3/3.  Why?  - although I don't think it helped that we were last in and I think there was plenty of crumbs left on the floor.
I'm glad you did well - maybe see you next time  (you're not at Bretby - Coalville CS this Sunday are you by any chance?)
