I have just bought a 4 monyh old pup, dog, he is fine during the day but at night he barks non stop for a least 3 hours.
Any advice on preventing this.

Perhaps he wants to be with you.  Have him in a puppy crate beside your bed.  Make sure he doesn't need to go to the toilet and that he has water and isn't hungry.
