Just like babies the plans may not go accordingly :)
Hi Guest,
I am curious - did you set out a plan like this when you had your son? More importantly did it work?
Isn't there a saying about best laid plans and mice and men :D
At this age I would still be feeding four times a day with the last meal being around 8 - 8.30 pm but the plan otherwise sounds fine to me, whether it will sound fine to your pup is another matter - please register and let us know how you get on.
As soon as you let him out of the crate take him outside for toilet - and after play and after food. Generally every hour or so during the day while he is awake and as soon as he wakes up. If you use a word for pee and poo as he is going he will also learn to go on command.
Lol before I got mine, I read the daily schedule in The Perfect Puppy and showed it to my sister, a dog owner of 25 years
She laughed hysterically....and now I understand why! :-D ;-)

Guest.
unfortunately puppies don't work like that!! They are individuals and although they will eat when we feed them the rest is really down to working round them and gradually 'persuading' them to adapt to your timetable.
My new pup came home yesterday...he will be my 4th crate trained dog. Last night we put him in his crate when we went to bed(10 pm) and left him.He whined for 5 minutes and then slept all night till 6am this morning....no accidents!! However day time is different...he will be fed when I wish but he play and sleep as he wishes. He will be put outside every 20 minutes or so (when not asleep ,with me 'in attendance') and as soon as he has eaten, drank or woken up.
All mine have been toilet trained very quickly this way.I can't imagine having a set time during the day when the pup will be locked in his bed...when I'm home he's out running around.Obviously when I go out he has to be crated but for the first few weeks I keep that to as little time as possible.
