Can anyone help me to find a breeder who will be having bolognese puppies for sale in the near future.

Thank you

There are only about 4 legitimate breeders in the country as they are a rare breed and they are keeping restrictions on breeding (rightly so), I know as we have a Bolognese and had to wait a while for him (he is the love of our lives though!!) Try the following:Cathy Begg where we got our little boy from 01270 582233
she knows all the breeders tel numbers and may have pups herself, I know Liz Stannard is another breeder in Cheshire but don't have her tel number, also Sandra Ford in Surrey. Look on the internet too, just try Yahoo and type in Bichon Bolognese and you can get some useful sites, I think the crufts website has links. Be prepared for a drive though we travelled 6 hours to get our little boy!! If you get one do let me know and if you are in the Surrey are happy to go walkies/advise etc!! Be prepared to fall seriously in love though they are real cuties, although mine is a little monkey and we have had trouble house training, but he was 5 months old when we got him!! Good luck!

Cathy Begg is a lovely woman and as Caroline would confirm does not breed regularly.  I could also give you Liz's telephone no. as I'm sure that she wouldn't mind as she's actually the secretary of Leeds Champ. SHow, actually if you looked up Leeds Champ Show on the internet I'm sure that you would get Liz's number.  Both Cathy and Liz live in Cheshire.

We now have 2 Bolognese come to our training and they are a lovely pair.

Good luck in your search.

Any ideas if I can find somewhere in Surrey area to train Luca he really could do with it...they are a saucy breed! Give them an inch and they will take a mile, our 13 year old GSD is slightly wary of him already and we have only had him 4 months!!

Hi Caroline

Sorry, but no.  I live about half an hour away from Cathy and Liz, so I'm not much help.  Hope you have a lot of fun with your young one, it must be your dogs litter brothers that go to the traiing club as they are about 4 months old.  I tooks some photo's of them on Wednesday but they're not very good as it's a new camera and I didn't know what I was doing :d

Ah would love to see his siblings! He is not a show dog thats for sure, he is always filthy, is a bugger to groom and so naughty. Course we all love him to death! My husband was dead againgst "nancy" dogs, and guess who makes the most fuss of him, and plays with him every minute he is at home! He has really made us all so happy, odd how a dog can do that! If you speak to Cathy do tell her how happy we are with him, although the brown staining under his eye that Cathy said may be an infection and would clear up is actually a blocked tear duct and will never get better (lot of trauma at the vets with that one!) so he is not the most handsome Bolognese in the wolrd but who cares! Thanks for replying!
