Topic Dog Boards / Showing / She's gone lame

It's  Chloe's first show on Sunday, but after getting mobbed by a dalmatian a couple of days ago, she has gone lame! :(
Obviously, there would be no point her turning up as at the moment her movement looks awful - normally it's brill!
Is it likely to have cleared up by Sunday or is she a lost cause?  I know this is something that is easily picked up on.

You know what, something like that always seems to happen, there is time for it to mend, pups can be on 3 legs one day and sound the next, so fingers crossed time and wait till the morning of the show before deciding, you could still go and take her for the experience and withdraw from the class when you get there unless she stops the limb with the excitement.

you could also try to rest her i know that is better said than done.
but you could also take her to the show and if she is still limping then you can withdraw her, there was a dog at crufts went from the car and by the time he got to the hall he was lame, so you are not alone with this.
best of luck at the show just incase you get there.

Shes just been going on little pavement only walks.  It's my sisters dog, and she was so excited about the show too, I feel really sorry for her, and I was looking forward to spectating!
I could kill Domino (the dalmatian!) ;)

Have know dogs go lame between BOB and group, so take her and see what you think when you get there.

I probably sound really stupid, but what does going lame mean?!

Update on this, she has been to the vets and has, can't remember the proper name, but inflammation of the lining of the bones, similar to growing pains in people.  She has painkillers and it should right itself shortly.
I apologise Domino!! :)

Pano (panosteitis) which means she will be lame one day and fine the next, a real pain in the a**e but not a real problem as she will grow out of it.
