i have a 6 year old terrier, who loves to chase and hunt, as a result we cant let him off lead, unless its all enclosed.

I would love it if he could do what he was bred to do,

are their any terrier races or something in oxfordshire??

any help would be much appreciated

You could take him Afghan racing!  Its open to all breeds and there are tracks all around the country, usually on a Sunday.  Buy the "Dog World" newspaper on a friday from WHSmith, the listings will be in the Afghan breed notes.  There are also game fairs up and down the country from now on, all through the spring, summer and Autumn, they usually have Terrier racing at those too.  "Countrymans Weekly" newspaper, same day, same shop, listings in the back.

If you look in the Countrymans Weekly, a paper which comes out on fridays, it lists lots of terrier activities that are due to take place in country shows etc many with terrier races.  We take our borders and they have great fun and it is not very expensive, usually not more than £1-£2 to enter if that.  Have fun.
