We have just adopted a new rotty boy.
I would appreciate some advice on what to feed him as I'm new to the adventure.
All the advice i've been given at the moment seems to be contradictory at the moment and I naturally want whats best for him, so
Dry or Wet and what brand please
He's on pedigree puppyfood at the moment but the only agreement I get is that no one has anything good to say about it.
My Rott is almost 12 months and is on Arden Grange Salmon and Rice (adult) and does well on it. Its complete dry and I do add a little tinned pilchard to the food - to make it more interesting IMO.

Dry - Burns, it is only meat, rice and veggies
Wet - Naturediet, it is only meat, rice and carrots!

i feed my rottie babies on hills puppy food dry and the adults get redmills adult i find the redmills puppy kibble is too small and they bolt the food down - i've just been trying a new food called affinity-advance and my dogs love it so might be worth a try although its on a par with hills for price, you should feed the best food you can afford when puppies are young as this will stand them in good stead in the future. I always find puppies eat thier own pooh if fed pedigree food!!!!

I don't have rotties, (have GSD's) and have found Arden Grange the best for my gang of 8.
Best of luck with your new pup. Have you joined the forum? It's free, and there's lots of advice from owners and breeders alike.
