Hi Karen & Sam,

Good luck both of you, let me know how you went on. Obviously Leo won't be doing any for quite a long time, I shall quite miss going to them, but I'd still like to hear how everyone does.

Hi Sam, sorry but missy and i do not have a show until sb, i seemed to have left it to late to enter most show's as after sb the next one wont be until Bath :-( . I did not realise how early all the show entries had to be in by, i must try to be organised lol, good luck to all of you showing this weekend and let us know how you get on, Emma :D

hi everyone,
Thanx for replying, hope we wont be on our lonesome there!!!
Whats the matter with leo then jan?has something happened?hope everything is ok.

There is still plenty of time to do a few open shows if you fancy it,emma,i can give you some numbers for schedules if you want?you only need to book about 2-3 weeks before.
Take care everyone,

Hi Sam,

Unfortunately Leo had an accident 10 days ago and tore his patella ligament. He's fine now, had the op and is recovering well, it's just a long haul back to fitness.
Post and let me know how your girls get on at the weekend, I've currently no computer at home - had to lend it to my son, so can't access the internet except when I can sneak on at work, so won't see your post until Monday.
Good luck

hi jan,
        Thats awful news,i am sorry
I do feel for you both, but at least he is ok and recovering well.
How did it happen?i bet you were mortified!
How long does the vet think he will be out of action for?
Give him a big hug for me anyway im sure he will be a pampered pooch for the next few weeks.
Sorry again,if theres anything i can do!
Take care,

                                       sam

Thanks Sam,
He slipped & fell awkwardly going up some steps - dozy beggar! Not sure exactly how long he'll be out of action, but will be months so he'll miss the rest of Puppy and probably most of Junior, which is a shame. Wouldn't mind but I'd just sent off a load of entries a few hours before the accident lol.

I've had to apply to the KC for permission to show him again now he's had an op, that should come back in May, so fingers crossed we get the OK. I should have been getting a new puppy bitch in a few weeks but have had to cancel as I won't have enough time to give her due to concentrating on getting Leo completely fit again. I'm really disappointed but hopefully I'll get one later in the year.

hi jan,
Poor leo, surprising isnt it, that something like that could do so much damage!they are such a worry arnt they!!!
Thats just sods law about the entry forms though!!cant you try and phone up and cancel them, its an expensive hobby at the best of times.
Such a shame about the pup as well!who were you getting her from?they say everything happens for a reason,i truely believe this.
Next time i see leo then i will probably be amazed by his size,he is quite a big lad already, try to cheer yourself up abit though by thinking some people dont even start showing their dogs till they are 2,he has got plenty of time yet to show everyone what hes made of!
Both of you take care and keep me posted on his recovery,

Hi Sam,
How did you get on???? I did ok at the Uxbridge show, though we did have a change of judge (our one had gone down with chickenpox) and that affected the number of dogs that could compete due to some of them being owned by the judge. Still Macy won the puppy class and got best puppy and her mum Lollie won the open class and got BOB, and wouldn't it be on a day when i couldn't stay for best in show, and the best in show judge was the one doing the British bullmastiff league next week (dam!).
Karen.

Oh that's great news, well done Karen, you must be thrilled to bits with them both. What a shame about BIS, are you going to the League on Saturday? I'm giving someone a lift down but won't be competing myself obviously.

No, i didn't enter, thought it was just that too far to go for an open show. Have you heard anything from the kennel club re: showing Leo again? I do hope it is ok but even more important i hope Leo recovers and bounces back as large as life.
Karen.

Actually the news doesn't look too promising from what I've heard on the board and what the people at the KC said, but I'm prepared to fight to the end. Had to laugh when I got their letter back acknowledging my letter it said "thank you for applying to show your Scottish Terrier......."!!!!! Bit of a size difference ......what!

hi,
Did so so at retford, zena came 2nd,but storm came 1st in her group so was really pleased(tyypical seen as though my husband shows her!!)
Our daughter came 3rd in her junior handling with zena,so was REALLY chuffed for her.
Well done to you karen,it was a great day for you, macy is doing brilliant isnt she!!
Take care all,
See you soon,

Well done sam, and your daughter too.
Well Macy seems to be doing ok at the moment, i'm sure we will be heading for a fall soon. I've never had a run of wins like this before.
Still we are enjoying it whilst it lasts and Macy loves it, she really knows when she has done well, she such a show-off.
Karen.
