my uncle has come to stay with me for a few days as he does every so often, i live on the isle of wight and he really loves it here and enjoys just going out for long walks. Today however, he went out bright and early, about 7.30 and just walked down to the beach taking in all the fresh air and beatiful views. He then walked into the town and decided to treat himself to breakfast, after breakfast he found the nearest bench and was just relaxing in the morning sun and taking in the sights of people going off to work etc., when he noticed a blind lady with her dog. He could hear her saying something to the dog but wasn't quite sure what it was until they got closer. The lady was trying to give her dog a carrier bag and telling it to find the bin, my uncles said the dog didn't seem to understand what the lady was saying and she was getting closer and closer to him holding the bag in front of her and instructing the dog to find the bin. As you may have guessed the lady was just about to place a bag of dog poo straight into my unles lap with the dog looking on quite happily.  My uncle jumped up explaining that he wasn't the bin and ran off. ( heaving unfortunately ) I do wonder how the lady managed to get the poo in the first place though. And i think the dog may need a bit more training. ( uncle felt bad about not helping but he has a dreadfully weak stomache.)

Good one!!  I think it's great that she managed to find the poo though (probably by smell!!).
Has your uncle recovered yet!!

Don't you think that's wonderful?  She's blind, and she's clearing up her dog's poo.  Now that must really take some practice, and is an example to all those non-poo collectors out there (especially all the ones that live in my street, grrrrrrr).

I agree with jessthepest, if a blind lady can clear her dogs poo up why cant everyone, good for her, just maybe need a bit more training :D

The person who did some disability discrimination training at work with us recently told the story of how she went to Downing Street for something to do with disabled people.  It was a warm day and the dogs didn't have any water, she went to find some but was told the didn't have any bowls so gave the dogs water in teacups!  There was also an enclosure for the guide dogs to exercise and relieve themselves but there was also a notice on the wall in "normal" sized print saying that owners must pick-up after their dogs!!!

Nice try but a bit of a way to go .....
