Has anyone got any tips on getting bruises to go down?
I fell over the other day and have now got the biggest bruise all over my shin and ankle. I've got a big party to go to this weekend and wanted to wear a skirt but won't be able to at this rate - HELP!!
Go to Boots the chemist and buy Arnica 30c, follow the doseage instructions, works a treat :-)
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! :)

There was some rather interesting research by Exeter University recently that showed Arnica was ineffective although did have a psychosomatic effect. My consultant explained it all to me when I was in hospital recently with some rather decent bruising despite taking arnica. If it works for you though, then all well and good.
I can recommend Lasonil cream from the chemist although read the 'terms and conditions' carefully!
What can happen if I don't?!!
Witch hazel is excellent for bruises but you might be a bit late now, you need to put it on pretty soon after hurting yourself. It comes in a bottle & you apply it neat several times over the day.

Do you mean 'what will happen' if you don't believe in arnica?? It will either work or it won't. Its certainly not harmful.
You should read the instructions on Lasonil cream because it is a heparinoid cream and you mustn't use it if you are taking anti-coagulants, etc.

If at all possible an ice compress is excellent for reducing bruising, but it haas to be applied as soon as possible after the event. Lavender oil diluted in vegetable oil is good once you have the bruising, takes away the pain too.

Arnica needs to be applied or taken straight away. It will help, I swear by it.
