I am getting very stessed out by Tammy.  When we got her in November she was not very good in the nights as to being dry and clean.  When she had the pups she was great now that one of them has gone she has started to do it again.  I got up this morning to sort out her other pup who now sleeps on her own away from mum as Tam's milk is starting to dry up and when I looked in on Tam she had pooed all over her bedding and was lying in it.  I was very upset as we have been toilet training her from scratch for 4 months and were making real progress.  Before last night we had not had a wet or dirty bed from her for about 2 weeks.  Could she just be doing it because she is pinning for her son who we took to his new home on Wednesday?

I am feeling so low about it.  Can you please suggest some things to help as the puppy, who will be seven weeks old on the 24th March is dry and clean (okay we have to go out every 2 hours so not much sleep)

Thanks

Iam confused you got this bitch in November and you now have a litter from her?? and they are not 7weeks old yet you have already got rid of one? It sounds as if this poor little girlie needs some tlc and understanding IMO.Sorry if i have got it wrong????

I don't know but looking at the dates I presume that she was already pregnant at the time they got her.  Don't forget, she was pregnant when you got her which puts extra weight on the bladder etc, and she's now had a litter, she's bound to make a few errors now and again.

She was not pregnant when we had her.  If you look at my previous posts you will see that we had her on the 23rd November and she was already in season.  She was accidentally mated to my male and she produced a litter of 2 on the 2nd/3rd of February.  He went last Wednesday at exactly 6weeks old.  We felt he was ready as he was fully weaned and mum was getting very agressive towards him.  He was checked over by my vet who also weighed him and he weighed in at a very big 5lb 2oz.  We would not have let him go if we didn't think he was ready.

Mum has now stopped making a mess again anyway so it must just have been pinning.
