My mum who is in her 80's has decided she wants to sell her house and move 200 miles away to be near my brother, she is very fit and healthy and loves where he lives. He lives on a farm and when she goes to stay she lives in a mobile home style caravan that we all use when we visit him. It's 25' long and has two bedrooms. She doesn't want the bother of her large house and would rather we all had our share of her money now so she can see us spend it! There are four of us and three of us currently live not far from mum and the other one lives in Wales. We are going up to see him on 9th May to see what arrangements can be made for mum.
She has decided that she wants to maintain her independence and rather than have an extension built onto their house she would prefer a luxury mobile home to live in. I gather they do quite sizeable ones that arrive in two halves. I've spend hours doing a search on the net and have worked out they are called Park Homes, but we don't want one on a park! I know that you need planning permission ,etc and all these arrangements are subject to that but for now I wanted to be able to print her some information off, and have a rough ball-park figure of cost. I don't know where to look, any ideas?

Tingdene homes at Wellingborough have a super show area - makes an enjoyable afternoon out and are very helpful. www.tingdene.co.uk tel no: 01933 230 130.
We were considering a park home to release capital - they rang us up on Friday to see if we were still keen - I pointed out that now that we have 2 labradors, no park site would want us! (Most say no pets or one small pet only!) But the homes are absolutely excellent, manufacured to a very high standard and with lots of luxury! If we had relatives with a farm we wouldn't hesitate. I hope this helps.
Cathy.
