Can anyone tell me how long it takes to house train a cocker??
I'm looking at getting a puppy and need loads of advice!!

How long is a piece of string James :-) Every dog is different but it generally comes down to how much effort the owner puts in as to how quickly a puppy is housetrained (not just Cockers, any breed) but then again some puppies learn more quickly than others. Get yourself a copy of "The Perfect Puppy" by Gwen Bailey as this will answer all the questions about basic training you are likely to need. As you're thinking of a Cocker, a good little starter book is Frank Kane's "A Pet Owners Guide To Cocker Spaniels" which you might find useful.
