Hi everyone!
Does anyone know of any dog training classes/ringcraft classes in the Birmingham area? Preferably classes which do the Kennel Club puppy foundation awards and progress onto the KC Good Citizenship scheme?
Thanks in advance (I hope)!
Lucy

Hi Lucy,
You could try contacting your nearest
APDT trainer - they should be able to help.

The best way to find out of any decent clubs in your area doing what you want is to contact the KC as they have a list of all the clubs in geographical location. You could also try their website and your regional breed club will advise you

Hi there Lucy, as regards dog training clubs in Brum, there are quite a few good ones. Where about are you. If you would care to PM me with the type of training you are looking for, then I will try to point you in the right direction.

Lucy, you may not be able to find a ringcraft that does the puppy foudation good citz (you may do!) but maybe its worth, aswell as ringcraft, doing basic puppy obedience which in most cases in socilation classes and would be well worth it, as they also teach the dog to come to you off the lead which, is proberly one of the most important things! (saying that do you let shih tzu off the lead due to their coats?)

Hi I've received a list of training places in the West Midlands from the Kennel Club. I'm going to be doing the KC Puppy Foundation Course, and hopefully progress onto the Bronze good citizenship award. I am also looking to do ring craft, but i'll give a few of the places a ring to check if they do that as well.
Rox, what are their coats to do with letting them off the lead??
