HI guys just wondering mitzy is on day 59 of her pregnancy and she seems to have developed diarrhoea but the funny thing is its not alot when she goes and sometimes she cant even go.
Her temp is up and down like a yoyo and the first chance she gets she runs into my room and goes straight under the bed i would not mind but there is not enough room for her to stand up.
She is very quiet today and is sleeping more than usual.

How close do you think she may be to her labour she keeps panting but she done that through the pregnancy but then all of a sudden she will breathe normal its like very deep short breathes.

Sounds like she's getting ready. She keeps thinking she wants to go because the puppies pressing makes her think she wants a poo! Some bitches think they've dirtied in the house when the first pup appears. She's going under the bed because she thinks that's a suitable place to have her pups. It's dark, enclosed and quiet - perfect! Unless you want her to have them there & you spending the time trying to crawl under there with her, you'll have to keep her away from there & get her used to her whelping box. The panting episodes will get more & more frequent & she may get more & more frantic, she make keep asking to go out (because she thinks she wants a poo!). In the end, I usually confine the bitch to her cage when she usually settles down. It's impossible to say how long - she could go on for another couple of days like that, but keep a close eye on her so you can see the first contractions. is she eating normally? Some bitches (but not all) will either refuse to eat the day they whelp or may eat & then be sick.

Hi thanks for the quick reply :) She has not eaten today she has had a drink but does not want her food i have even tried her with tuna which she loves and she wont even eat that.
She keeps lying on her side then rolling onto her belly as if she is not comftable.
She is lay on her side at the moment asleep and you can see the pups going hell for leather.
As soon as i move she is awake and next to me she likes to be near me at all times.

I sure will keep you all posted she has just got up came to me and sat there looking all sad and gone back to her bed.
She is not nesting or digging her bed but i have heard not all bitches do this is there any truth in that.

Mine didnt nest for either of her two litters. She did "dig" the carpet a few times whilst in stage one, but I think that was a reaction to her tummy ache. I dont think you've long to go and the best advice I can offer is to try and keep as calm as you can (not easy, I know).

Awww she is sat infront of me looking all sad i lay next to her bed and she hugged my hand and started going back to sleep but as soon as i moved she came and sat next to me i feel so helpless.

I know how you are feeling Mike, Noo hasn't eaten today and she will not leave my side.  I am really excited.

Carina when she had hers didn't really do anything.  Was still fetching her toys etc. that same morning, just had the sad eyes looking at me as if to say what's happening mum.  She didn't really push either to have the pups. I've never seen a bitch before just lie there and pop them out without hardly doing anything.

Well mitzy is still looking a little sad she has eaten about a spoonful of food and wont eat anymore. I am just letting her do what she wants and letting her wander around but with me keeping an eye on her as i dont want her stressing to much.
She is asleep in her bed at the moment so it maybe the next few hours or over the weekend.
Will keep you all updated on how she is doing....

Well guys false alarm mitzy has had more to eat and is now sleeping So looks like it should be the weekend when the babies arrive will keep you all posted of her progress.

HI guys well vet says mitzy in prelabour even though her temp is 100.1 its strange i always thought it had to drop down to 98 but vet says her cervix is opening so not long to go could be today or 2moro she said so fingers crossed all goes well.

How exciting, we are here still waiting too :) I am sure Noo will have them today or tomorrow as well. Noo's temp still going up and down but she is sleeping lots and she is getting more swollen... I slept with her last night and she was dinning around in her whelping bed all night.

Its just the waiting and feeling helpless as they just look at you as if they are trying to say help me i wish they could speak atleast we would know how they were feeling.
Mitzys temp been upand down like a yoyo she is having probs having a poop now she is straining but only a tiny bit will come out she is wanting to go out alot more now and her vulva has gone to the size it was when she was in heat.
Her tummy goes really hard when i rub it then it will relax again.She has not done any digging or nesting but as i been told some dogs dont do it she just does not know where she wants to lay i feel so helpless.
She is sleeping then she is up and near me and she will lay near me where ever i am and wont go back to her bed unless i go with her lol

Mitzy sounds just like Noo in her behaviour!!I feel really hopeless to and she will keep giving me 'THAT' look.
Maybe we should be birthing partners ;)

I could not sleep lastnight i kept thinking i heard her crying so i would go see herand she would be asleep.
She is not eating today i am going to try her on some tuna see if she will eat that i worry when she does not eat even though its normal at this stage lol.

She is lay next to me at the moment panting and taking deep breaths and the puppies are going mad in her abdomen i think they just like bouncing of her internal organs lol

How many days is noo now mitzy is 60days

We are on day 62!! Noo has been panting on and off for a few days. She did that last time as well and the sleeping it is almost like she is saving all her energy ( well she had 11 last time, so she knows what to expect :))

Hi guys still no news mitzy has stopped shivering but has not eaten since 8am this morning she is lay in her bed cleaning her legs at the moment.
I really think they dont want to come out.
She is now day 62 so they will be here soon.

Hi kelly mitzy seems ok hasnt eaten anything yet seems a little more quiet than normal.
She is trying to find somewhere to lay down at the moment as she wants to be in the bed room under the bed.
If she does not have them today i am going to take her to the vets tomorrow for another check up as she is 63days today she dont have the shivers and is not panting as much as she was she has spent the morning cleaning her teats and vulva.

Mike have everything crossed for you and Mitzy.  Hasn't the time flown by.  It only seems like yesterday you were going to take her to the vets to be scanned.  The time will soon fly when the pups finally arrive too.  I found myself marking down on the calendar all the milestones you read about in the Book of the Bitch.

Hiya well her temp has not dropped its at 100.8 but i suppose that can still change as the day goes on.
She is not shivering she is panting less than she was and is still not nesting or digging at her bed.
She still hasnt eaten her food and is sleeping like a baby.
I think the puppies just dont want to come out as its was cozy and safe in mum lol.
Will keep you updated on her progress.

Well still nothing but vet think she may not have concieved for about 3days after mating so she is not due for another couple of days so its a longer wait i guess lol

Hi guys well mitzy is doing ok, When i took her for a walk this morning there was a blob of stringy clear mucus hanging from her vulva which she was not pleased about and quickly sat down and started cleaning herself so if things goto plan it could be 12-24-maybe 48hours before the little ones enter the world.

How is noo and her litter doing hope all is still going well.
Mitzy is getting very restless she has been pulling her bed up.
She has not eaten but thats not to say she wont eat later like she usually does.
Her abdomen is really hard and she is even panting while asleep bless her.

when wispa had her string of mucus she had the 1st puppy in a hour on both litter no water bad just the mucus then a puppy/

Well mitzy still has not had them and is eating again she has only had 2 poops all day and is peeing like a racehorse lol.
She has me baffled as she has now taken to lying infront of the backdoor she has never done this before and her behaviour is very strange.
Her breathing sounds like she has trouble breathing but as soon as i goto her she is fine and starts panting if she pants any faster she will hyperventilate.

She has been acting funny towards her vulva she will be asleep then all of a sudden will jump up and clean herslef yet there is nothing there she will then stare at her rear for about 1minute then go back to sleep.
She has been sleeping on and off alday and seems very edgy this is a side of her i never seen before mind you this is her first litter. she will be 65days into her pregnancy 2moro i have read that some bitches can actually go 72days.

I have not seen any more signs of the stringy mucus and she is showing no signs of contractions is this all typical behaviour.

I am sooooo tired i am takinbg pro plus to help me stay awake lol

mitzy is fine still nothing i managed to get a couple of hours sleep but everytime she moved i was up and checking her.
Going to see how she goes today and then going to call the vet to have her checked over to make sure all is well.
