My Rottie bitch had puppies yesterday but unfortunately she doesnt have any milk i have been in touch with my vet who informed me that he could give her an injection but there is no guarantee that it would work, does anybody have any ideas on what may bring  her milk in.Thanks . Tony

When you say no milk what do you mean? In the first few days only colostrum is produced before the milk flows. If her mammary glands are large and baggy the milk will come. Are the puppies constantly crying or do they have rounded tummies and are quite content? Sorry about al the questions looks like you're going to have to join!!

It's early days & although it doesn't sound good that she has none or very little milk - it may (fingers crossed) come in - over the next 24/36 hours.
Feed her a premium quality food, & don't forget to supplement your babies a little bit (but not too much, you want them to be satisfied but hungry enough to want to suckle your bitch)
If your vet is willing to give drugs to your bitch, that's good as not all vets are keen, but weather or not it works is questionable & only time will tell.
Wishing you good luck with your bitch & pups   :)

Make sure she has plenty to drink - this will help.

I would go for the injection if it doesnt work you havent lost anything
however you need to get milk in to the pups.
Are you sure she has no milk? normally its a few days before the milk is own properly.
Are the pups crying ?are they suckling?
