we are looking for a stud dog for our staff molly, she is a loving family dog black in colour with a white chest and following numerous complementary remarks from friends we feel we must breed from her, this is the first time we will be doing this so my terminology may not be correct, she has come into season last sunday 14-03-04, when would mating have to take place, how much does it cost, i have tried several breeders via this site and had no reply
if any one can help we would gratly appreciate help, we live in dudley, west midlands and can be e-mailed on paulrogers@milkingbank165.fsnet.co.uk

Guest you have left it far to late for this season, your bitch will need to have the health tests and then you will need to approach stud dog owner in time for them to check that your bitch and their dog are a suitable pair, of course, you should be checking the stud dogs health test and his suitability too. Good luck but your do need to do your home work before even thinking of breeding.

Have you tried visiting a few shows and seeing which dogs you like the look of and then have a chat with the owners about the dogs background, pedigree and showing successes :)
Ideally you will want a dog that will compliment your own bitch and that may have the attributes that your own bitch may not have ( bearing in mind there are very very few dogs that are completely perfect in EVERY way).
There are some lovely looking dogs out there at the moment :)

Guest this is not a good reason to breed your bitch.
Are you prepared to lose your bitch during prgnancy or whelping...it does happen. Can you afford the £100's for a c section..not uncommon. Are you prepares to take back a destructive pup at 6 months old?? These are but few thing to think about.
If you decide to go ahead,as the others have said have your bitch health tested and then do some research as to which stud would best suit your girl.No decent stud owner is going to allow you to use their boy at such short notice ...you will have to show them that your bitch is healthy and the best ones will want you to show that she is a good example of her breed.
There are thousands of staffys out there looking for homes....unless you can say you are breeding for the good of the breed then don't....too many people breed for money or because they think their pet bich Should have a litter to fulfill her...
