Hello
Ella loves this cold wet muddy weather and spends every second she can lying full length in stagnant water.  I try to avoid this as much as possible but this morning she found a lovely puddle and before I could stop her she'd rolled in it, dropped her ball and stuck her head right in to get it back.  I have hosed her down but she still stinks (currently known as Pondweed) :)  I bathed her properly last weekend and wasn't aiming to do this again for some time as I don't want to damage her coat.  Has anyone got any suggestions? Would you wait until she's completely dry and give her a good brush or bath her again completely, I really can't make up my mind.  We've got a show tomorrow if that makes any difference and although I'm pretty awful and we only do it for fun, I do like her to at least look and smell clean!!
Thanks and best wishes
Alex

Hi youre not alone! Morse just loves mud, poo, jumping in puddles and came home this morning totally black with black spots. So off to Uncle Bath again. I could bath that dog every day, but I usually use a bucket and a rag to spot clean as often as possible, brush off legs when dry and change his bed twice a day. Hes worse than the bairns. :)

I could bath my shih-tzu's daily aswell, everyday we go for our walks down to the river, everyday they come home with black, muddy legs and a funny brown colour! I bath them once, sometimes twice per week. One of them has grass allergies so i have no choice but to bath frequently :( I dont have the heart to keep them on lead or "try" and keep them away from the water, they love it so much, you can tell they have alot of fun ;) I wish they would understand that if they want to roll in mud and poo then they will have to have a bath, that might put em' off,as they both hate baths.
