Hi Satans Filly / Lorelei
Staffys are extremely STRONG dogs for their size and will need to be taken out with someone who will be able to keep the dog under control.
Rescues like any other rescue dog can have any number of issues ( or they may have none) depending upon the individual dogs back ground but any responsible Rescue Centre will be able to give you information on a particular dogs background. They should be able to offer advice on whether the dog is friendly towards other dogs ( which in your case should be a "yes" as you already have Morse)
Some may have been mistreated by previous owners, some may have been someones beloved pet and due to any number of circumstances may have found themselves requiring a new home ( either through owners death, divorce , moving house, moving country etc etc - the list is long)
If you need any advice please PM and i will happily see if I can help :)
Are you hoping to home a younger dog or an elderly one ?

I'm sure your mum could cope, anyway, and give you lots of advice. :) How do you think Morse will be with another dog in the house? We'd love a friend for Sparky, but I sometimes wonder how he'll cope with another dog getting in the way when he comes running for a cuddle!

I cant wait for all the madness of a second :D
Stacey, you must know that Mum is NOT the person a 13 year old girl wants to hear from :D Spelling comes from using txtn on the mobile I think, as all her teachers have joined me in correcting her spelling for years! Actually I posted after her in case folk thought it was a WUM/troll whatever due to the spelling.

I can vouch for the txtg spelling thing - I mark sats papers for English, and you wouldn't believe how many kids are writing in txtspk!

I think most of the problems with staffie rescues are down to previous owners/morons mistreating these dogs who unfortunalty are proned to getting taken by the wrong person.

In fairness there are some genuine owners who just cant look after their dogs any longer :( and have turned to breed rescue
but yeah , there are idiots too :(

I have rescued two staffords and have been very fortunate. Sory if this post goes on but I just want you to know my exprience with rescued staffs.
If they come back to you with a dog donot be tempted to take it in because you feel you have to. Do not be afraid to ask questions and if your gut instinct says 'No' then don't take it. I saw several rescued bitches before I found the one who suited our family best. We went for an older more 'street-wise' animal because of our children. We were offered a young bitch who had been brought up on her own and was very obsessive. She wasn't right for us as we already had Jas and so needed an animal who was used to other dogs and children. I had no background on Jas as he was picked up as a stray but he was very well housetrained. We had no problems apart from the fact that he didn't really know how to play and hadn't the faintest idea as to what do with a chew bone.
Tam we had a fair idea as the rescue centre knew her. She was not much good during the nights (wet and dirty) but during the day she is okay. When she was found she weighed all of about 12kilos so they decided to go to the police and the dog warden and advertise for the owner's to come forward but they didn't so she was rehomed. I did travel a few miles to go and see her and she got on really well with Jas. He came with me to see her as they needed to meet on neutral ground to get aquainted. They have been best of pals since and go everywhere together. Rescued dogs can be very rewarding and you know that you can talk to the rescue centre if you have any problems. I keep in touch with my rescue centre and send photos every month and an updated story on their progress.
They are a handful and when they start playing everyone dives for the chairs to get out of the way. I love them to bits and would not want to be without them now. Good luck! :)

Lel, I totally agree with you. I struggle to get people to distinguish between rescue dog/rehoming a dog. Mr B is not a rescue dog. He requires rehoming.
Emma
Have I missed something? Are you having to part with Mr B because of your change in circumstances? I have followed many of your posts over the past few months but this is new to me.

Unfortunately so. The post was moved because it was considered advertising because I needed advise on what to do.
