Hello all,
For all the WT people out there, has anyone done one of Johns weekend WT courses. I've been lucky enough to get a place for November (Tracking on Salisbury Plains-yippee!!) and just wondered if anyone has done one before.( and if you have, where did you stay overnight?)
Cheers chaps.
Ali:)
Ooooh!! I had my eye on that one. I was a bit put off because i know some people who did it last year, and it poured and poured and poured!!! :D I know we are all supposed to be tough and not care about the weather, but 2 days of it... it was quite expensive too, but well worth it i am sure. I am still thinking about it though.... :)
Might even see you there :)
Any ideas for overnight stays appreciated by me too ..... it's not far from me, but i hate driving in the dark and wet :(

Oooh this would be good! Ill bring jumpers for me and Morse - where did you hear about it and is there a minimum standard for admission?
Lorelei,
If you go onto the APDT training site and then look at courses, that where it is. I think that there might still be a few places left, it's not cheap £85 for the weekend not including B+B, but anything that John does is bound to be great and I couldn't resist tracking on Salisbury Plain (even if it is bound to be raining/snowing/sleeting/gale force winds!)
Might see you there then!
Ali :)
p.s. The senior instructor at our training club says that theres no such thing as terrible weather, only inappropriate clothing!
I don't think that there is necessarily a minimum level to be on it, the training will be tailored to your dog, I should expect!
Thanks will check it out. :D Inappropriate clothing - sounds like the Marines! After today Im getting waterproof trousers as I got drenched from 6am onwards till 3pm.

Party round at your place then?.....LOLOLOL :)
Ali:)
:D well i reckon after a day out on Salisbury Plain in November, we'll all feel like hot toddies and an early night LOL ;)
