yippee i went to see my puppy today and he is soooo gorgeous. only a week till i can bring him home and i cant wait.
my home has turned into a puppy shop over the last few weeks and i am dreadin gettin the credit card bill!!!
i am gonna try to keep busy over the next week so that i stop stalkin the breeder (i think she thinks i am insane!!). mind you i have been waitin for 4 years to get him so a bit of lunacy is to be expected.
anyway will keep you informed on how it goes when i bring him home next week and introduce him to my 5 cats lol.
roll on the 26th

thx. i am prepared for the chewing etc but that is wot pups do so i dont mind. hopefully it will all go well with the cats cos that is my biggest concern (i really dont want them to leave home cos they are my babies too) so i hav got my fingers crossed.
will keep you all informed on how it goes.

We got our new pup a few months ago and he has been fine with the cat, just be clear what behaviour you expect from the start and all will be fine, in fact our cat is probably more of a tease than the pup!
Have fun, Alfie is a great name, I am considering it for our next baby!

Hi, i have a rottie called Mia, she's 1 next saturday (27th) she is a joy to have and i wouldnt be without her, we were very lucky when she was a pup, the worst thing she did was rip the lino up in the kitchen  , we had nothing else chewed, gave her lots of toys etc and she was fine, i also have cats, 3 of them, Mia gets on with them fine, sometimes plays a bit rough with them, but usually she just mothers them, lol :) , i was terrible when i first saw Mia, she was 10 days old, just fitted in the palm of my hand, from then on every week i was calling the breeder asking how she was doing, how she was eating etc, in the end the bloke turned round and said i could go and see her every saturday, which i did :D , bringing her home was the most wonderful feeling in the world, sat in the back of the car with her, she was really good, spent most of the time looking out of the window!

i hope you have as much joy out of your rottie as i have out of mine, wish you the best of luck.

Steph.
