Hi as mentioned before I own a 4 1/2 month old Boxer dog called Paddy, and he weighs 16kg is this normal or do I have a larger than average puppy on my hands? The vet said that he is very fit and healthy (i.e. not over weight) but I wanted to know how he fairs up with others of the same breed? Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Craig.

Hi Craig
i have a boxer (boy) about 8.5 mths old and he is now over 4 stones. (cant remember the kg's)
seem to think when he was 5 months old he was about 19/20kg.
not sure what the correct growing weights should be, but sir doesnt look chunky and is lean.
I like the name paddy, my boy is dudley.

My boxer weighs 28KG at 12 months. He does look lean but not skinny.Other boxer people and vets I have spoken too have said not to get too hung up about his weight and that adolescent Boxers are a bit lean, they take a couple of years to fill out-sometimes 3, and they all grow at different rates.

Very true, Bradley is very tall aswell. At the moment his back is about 1.5 inches taller then his boxer buddy Ollie.
My boxer Glazby is 2 years old and was weighed at the vets about 3 months ago at 28kg and we were told that this is a good weight. He's lean but not skinny - you can see his ribs at certain angles but he's really started to fill out recently muscle wise. He's started to broaden in the chest and really does look good (even though I am biased!!).

My boxer Saffy is 7 months old and weighs 26kg, she actually weighs more than our 4 year old Dalmatian Max who weighs 25kg. Mind you she never stops looking for food and steals Maxs at every opportunity.
