Has anyone had experience of Masterplus training collars. These are the ones that release an odourless gas (not the electric shock collars which I wouldn't go near). They have been suggested to me by a behaviourist as a way of stopping one of my dogs being aggressive towards the other. He demonstrated it and it did seem to work, but whether it would work more than a few times, after the initial surprise had worn off, I don't know. They are so expensive if they are just a very short term solution.

I believe some shops do a hire scheme ..you pay the full amount and then, when you return it, you get some money back :)

Find out about your behaviourists qualilfications and his record with dog to dog aggression :) If it is good, he is probably assessing the situation well and his advice is probably sound.

As Melodysk says, youcan always use the hire scheme - good luck :)
