tonight on bbc1,at 10.35 there is a programme on called dog squad, it is a documentary about the work of police dogs, if any one is interested.

Would like to see that myself however I suppose the downside is that this may result in an explosion of popularity?   Depends what force it is I suppose, some have more than others!

i would not mind seeing a rottie if they have one there to show,think it is going to show cadavar work,man work also. hope it is good and hope a lot watch it and the bbc might then realise we don't just watch crufts either.

What on earth do the dogs actually do with the cadavers? (I have a horrid vision of a sniffer-dog dragging a human corpse from the undergrowth .. )

They can be used to find buried bodies or parts of bodies. They tried to find the little boy buried up on Saddleworth Moor, but I think it was too long ago that he was buried.

Hope not!!  We don't need an explosion in the Malinois popularity Tohme.  They're not for everyone!
