:-)
Download a pop up killer

If you click on it you will find out , won't you?
I got a free one from PC worlds website, although sometimes have to disable it when on those sites that have info windows they can't open otherwise.

The one Melodysk recommended, Stopzilla is a premium rate phone call jackalyn.

Ermm ..I didn't recommend ANY pop up killer thank you ..if I had of done, I would have said either the Google bar one or the one *I* use which is from Bayden, neither of which involve ANY phone call

i keep getting emails with an atttched folder from unknown people what are they
ive opened one but nothng was there ..the rest ive been deleting

The emails probably contain the MYDOOM virus Tracey ..just keep your anti virus up to date (everyday updates are best) and keep deleteing ANY email that has attachments and you don't know the sender

im getting loads at least 20 a day ... how have they got my add
also im a member of another 2 forums and had emails from somene posing as them saying i had private messages and to click the link below to get the message
i checked the forum and there was no message

If you sign up for anything, some firms pass on (sell) your email address to loads of other firms..it happens to everyone :) Most folks have a few emails addresses and keep one for signing up to things with.
Then you just make a rule on your mail reader that anything from that address is put into your deleted folder immediately ...that way, you can just scan all the deleted messages folder before getting rid of them all (just to make sure that there isn't anything you really need)
There are other ways of course.....programmes that you can buy etc ..

Don't fear about these kind of emails, just delete them.
I work in technical support for a large company and we've had this problem for a while.
Luckily we pay £50,000 a year for Messagelabs to scan every email before it comes into our system.
The mails are actually just spam. No virus or anything. Although i always suggest not to open mail unless you know who it's from.
Download a free firewall with built in virus checker from http://download.com.com/3120-20-0.html?qt=firewall&tg=dl-2001
