Hello,
My daughter and myself would love to get into showing. My daughter is almost 6 years.I have never shown before,we have a springer(working type) and a young cavalier who i dont think is of show standerd. But a good starting point maybe?i would like to know if anyone has any ideas as to what breed we would be best to start with.I didnt want one that has a large number in show ring like a cavie does.I am at home most of the day never out for more than 3 hours,we love going for walks.would have to get on well with children and other dogs and be small to medium size.length of coat not important as im used to grooming most breeds as used to work in bording kennels.
any ides please.
than you.

I think your best bet is to go to some shows and see which breeds appeal to you most, not just the looks of the dog but the type of presentation and handling which appeals to you. You may well find you just fall in love, and the decision is made for you. If you want to let us know whereabout you are we can probably post details of shows in your area.
bye
