my pup is having her first season and has started to wee everywhere. She is very well house trained and is getting distressed at her accidents. Is this normal for her to behave like this during her first season? Our older bitch has never had this problem.
She has had a viginal examination recently as we thought she had an infection, there was nothing wrong there so i have no idea what is wrong with her. She has an appointment for Monday but i would like to know if it is related to her season and if anyone else has had this problem.
Any advice would be gratefully recieved.

A lot of bitches, even youngsters will scent mark when in season & tiddle everywhere. Sounds like she's doing it in the house though? If so & she is normally clean, she may have an infection - perhaps cystitis. If she's seeing the vet on Mon they will be able to diagnose this if that's what it is. they may prescribe a course of mild antibiotics which will hopefully make her feel better.

Take a sample of her urine to the vets with you, he will be able to tell straight away if she has an infection.
