my dane had this strange  spot on his face just below his eye .
which when taken the vet said was nothing to worry about . she popped the spot but no pus ame out only blood. 

she prescribed  maxitrol ointment . the spot has now gone but hes been left with what looks like a scar but its raised...
its not  grown is not bothering him
Any ideas as to what it was or is

Could it have been a sty? just a thought.

the vet said it wasnt and that it could have been a cyst

she said if it gets bigger she'll cut it out ......  but hes had two ops in the last two months  and dont wan to put him through another

Is it not just acne? Our girl has had a bout of it in the past.

i dont know  but he suffers from a lot of spots by his privates....so it possibly could be its like a grey scar below his eye

Dolly gets a few spots there too but the vet said it was nothing to worry about, do you wash his face?
I wash Dolly's daily i know this sounds strange lol but when she had a bout of acne the vet said to wash her chin (that's were it was) after mealtimes and i used to just wipe her eyes too because the sleep she gets in them urghhh! sometimes it's the length of a shoe lace!
Anyway just a thought!

i wipe the sleep from his eyes but never his chip   ,  ill start trying that cos he does get spotty under there at times to.. thanks

never wash his face unless im bathing him
