is this the hardest breed to track down or what? i really want to find a puppy but all the breeders have the litter  rehomed before they are born or they will not let them go to someone who has not owned one before. is there anyone out there with a litter currently or one expected as i have a nice home with lots of room ie 20 acres to offer a puppy including lots of long walks acompaning me on my horses. it is reaaly getting me down as it seems to be a closed shop.

Would have thought it would be one of the easiest and the problem would be finding a breeder of quality pups, have you tried the breed club?

Hi Guest

It is not a closed shop, but reputable breeders will want to know, that you know a Dalmatian can be a difficult dog to own.

A good breeder will have a waiting list and that is a good sign.  If you don't already know, make sure the pups are BAER hearing tested before you buy.  Don't touch a breeder that doesn't do that.

It is not a very good time of year to go puppy hunting as a lot of breeders would have wanted to show their good bitches at Crufts.

If you havent already tried the breed clubs do that, unfortunately we do not know what part of the country you are in.  If you register, we might be able to help you further.
