Can i just ask , how can a puppy come from hell ?? i have had my rosie for 5 weeks she is a westie.... she is the most adorable little girl, she has chewed my living room carpet, had accidents on the carpet, and she found my beloved trainers , but i would say she still came from heaven....she is now the love of my life since my children are grown up..... and yes she is spoilt , but what do u expect.....lol......

Now you guest sound like a normal puppy owner/lover, you would be welcome to one of mine anytime. Guess we know pups grow up much quicker than children and we had better make the best of it, chewed furnishing and all. May she give you years of joy and pleasure and not too may replacement bills.

I think it depends whether you expect to get a real, live, genuine puppy (with the noise, mess and destruction that goes with it), or a soft-toy ... ;)

I used to be nick-named Imelda Marcos because i had so many shoes, that name no longer applies :( Our girl didn't just have a little nibble she demolished them totally so they didn't resemble a shoe  But i still love her (It's the kids i'm trying to get rid of ;) )

to be fair i think the comment was a figure of speech and not to be taken literally! the poster is in a completely different situation she has a breed that is at the different end of the spectrum from a westie and she also has children so even when you are told puppies are hard work you don't beleive it til you have one she's made a mistake which she will learn from and put her off getting another on the other hand she may surprise herself and battle on if she's become attached whatever the outcome the breeder should have spotted the fact that these were unprepared dog people which her breed would'nt fit in with as there's usually some kind of sign!

Well I'm sorry but I love my dog to pieces but at times I have called him all sorts, I think that if you have a puppy who isnt the best behaved then it can be alot to cope with, I would never harm my dog or give up on him but at times he really can be a puppy from hell!

I used to look in Khans thick coat when he was a pup.I was sure I would find three 666.
Could never find the skin so never found them.
I do think they where there once.
Not anymore he is so well behaved now.

Just sounds like a normal pup to me, A few things my yellow lab destroyed when he was a pup are numerous pairs of shoes, TV remotes, a pager, doors, wallpaper, carpets, chairs and 6 raw sausages that we were sure were out of reach. But one look at his big brown eyes and i would forgive anything he had done, He is now five and well behaved but now and then naughty puppy behaviour will sneek out.
sounds like normal behaviour to me, heck its only a "baby" My dog was fully grown and usually well behaved but on occasions when we were out managed 2 get into zipped up bags, open lunch boxes inside and steal food, one day she also found a bag of sugar a packet of butter and some sweets, tried to eat them and then threw up everywhere, it was a wonderful site when we got in LOL
We also had a cat who liked chicken so much on one occasion he stole a chicken from under the grill while it was still cooking, he was lucky he didnt burn himself but he got the chicken down on the floor so that he and the dogs could share it.... you should try that when you have a couple of animals they can be really devious.
