Hi all
just wanted to tell someone...as from this weekend we will have one more mouth to feed!!!
My daughter has been gifted a 9 month old shiba....but she doesn't know yet!! Is she going to be suprised or what.
I know we can't replace Archer who was her best friend and constant companion(his collar is still on her bedside cabinet) but I know she will love and spoil this little dog and I hope they will have a special freindship that might fill a little gap!!

That will be possibly what she needs, they look to be lovely dogs I hope they have many happy years together :) and don't get each other into too much trouble, some hope eh?

Best wishes on your new member of the family. Karen
Edited to say
Oh forgot to ask what will he/she be called?

That's good news Archer, is she a Steldawn or a rescue that Gill has taken in? Look forward to hearing how it goes and will Zara be appearing in the ring ;)

I hope it all goes well, and I am sure it will the girls miss Gypsy like mad and yesterday pulled out all the photo's of her and were sitting in the garden showing them to Sal, who I must say refrained from trying to eat them ;)  the pictures not the children :)

Good luck 9 months is a lovely age, just the right age for mischief ;)

COngratulations on Zara, Archer. We are waiting to adopt a Staffie for Stinkfoot after our successful home check on Monday night, so much excitement in the Madhouse. Think it will be a long wait as they want a young one for us. :)

OOOOh...I'm sure the wait will be worth it in the end!!

Congratulations on your new arrival. Keep us informed of her progress won't you?
I'm starting to get very broody again now, too, do you think it's the Spring? We're starting to look into the possiblity of another bc - possibly a rescue this time, but maybe another pup, for my youngest. The novelty of the 6 am walk still hasn't worn off for her, so I reckon she's ready (but am I ? ;)). Spurred on by you taking the plunge, Lorelei, though we're a few months behind you and Morse! We're aiming for an 18 month age gap, so if I start seriously searching for planned litters or registering with rescue societies soon, we're hoping we should be ready to go ahead by October/November time.

Watch out Tracey, its addictive this dog owning! Silver back is taking me to see a Viszla litter tomorrow morning with me muttering savagely " Just look, just get an idea of the breed type, remember the Staffy could be here soon! You are NOT getting one!" Are you going back to Sparkys breeder or goiing for a different line if you go for a pup?

Hi Lorelei,
Sparky's mum has been retired, but his dad's breeder is still going strong, so might try there. Then again, might be brave and take the plunge with a rescue.

Well just to update everyone...
Zara is home.....and now rules it!! Within a couple of hours she had the boys well and truely under control and had wormed her way into everyones affections...including my hubbys.
She has got the most wonderful layed back temperament and you'd think she'd been here for months.
