I saw the MOST adorable thing today on Shaunas animal magic or whatever its called on teh animal planet channel( think that was the channel). He was a husky who talked. this guy had taught him to say 'i love ira' (ira being antoher dog) and all sorts of other thigns. ok, he didnt 'pronounce' properly, but he made the sounds really well! it was amazing!!
I have always wanted a husky, but this made me love them even more. another thing i noticed is that he was off a lead on a big beach - i have always heard that you can never let huskies off leads as they will run off. This dear boy was going nowhere! anyone wiht huskies - can you train them not to run off?:D

i'd duck if i were you, i asked about letting my husky off the lead last week, and was told no no no, even though i do let my girl off and she runs around quite happy, but i will say gets distracted ,but does soon find me if i get to far ahead or not in sight, but i must agree with the people on this site and say huskys are lovely to look at and if you see a well behaved one they are very appealing but please before you get one do you home work ,as they are avery stubborn breed who need a lot of attention, but are also very rewarding and loving, and great with children(well mine are)and they are great gardeners( if you like holes everywhere)they also get bored and lonely so are not great at being left for long periods of time , luckily mine have been pretty good , anyway i'll properly have said the wrong thing so iam going to hide now.

OOoh dont worry, i'm not about to buy a husky!! we have dogs already, i just like learning as much about dogs as possible... all of them! I dont think taht i would ever own one unless i got into sledding, but i love the look of them. Any of the wolf like dogs are attractive to me.:)

I thought you had disappeared wildone.....anyway ..yes, you did ask last week ..and you were told that no, it isn't usual to let them offlead though they can sometimes be trained .
Why you would say the poster needs to duck I don't know
If you don't want advice, don't ask for it ;) :D

One of my college lecturers had a mongrel that could say "I want one" ever so freaky

Anyone remember the dog on 'Thats Life' ...the one that used to say *SAUSAGES*
ROTFL :p :p

I remember :D :D thats exactly how my college lecturers dog spoke - like a muttering voice :P
