Does anyone know what the problem was last night in the Crufts car parks.  I did hear that a bus from the complex had tipped up (apparently there were dogs and exhibitors on it)...do hope it is not right.  Do know that most people who left the show at 4.30 and after didnt get out of the car parks until 9pm. 

It's always very busy coming out of Crufts if you don't leave on the dot of 4, especially on a weekday when the Crufts traffic meets the usual heavy rush-hour traffic. To stand a chance of getting away reasonably quickly it is vital to be out of those doors at let-out time like greyhounds from the traps.

Yes I agree......but this was not normal even for Crufts.........People I spoke to had been in their cars for 4 hours and not moved anywhere. 

We came out at 6 and the cark park and all the roads were gridlocked so we went back in and got the sky shuttle to the airport to find somewhere to eat. We waited it out until the car park cleared at about 9.45.  One of our party phoned home and her husband looked at the AA website and said that there were over 30 incidents around Birmingham.

We left about 5 o'clock, the roads were really busy but we took the M6 - M1 route, got out of NEC slowly but the gridlock appeared to be for North bound traffic!!  Correct me if I'm wrong please.  The motorway was also at a standstill but we managed to bypass that to go southbound.

Can't confirm the bus accident theory, haven't heard anything yet.  We were back home (Northants) by 6.30p.m.  Having a Chinese by 7.  Sorry to those that were stuck tho', hope things improve over the next few days.
