Hi all, I was wondering if anyone knew of any training classes held in the Milton Keynes area (or of any website that I might be able to look on to find out).

Glazby is 2years old and I'm not sure if he has ever been to any before we homed him.  I would like to get him socialised with other dogs within a class environment and also to learn myself how to get the best out of him.

I'm not actually looking for a dog behaviourist or a one on one lesson/training session more of a weekly club that I could take him to - both of us being novices!!

I was wondering if he would be classed as too old for some classes - are they more orientated at puppies?

Any advice would be appreciated - thank you!!

Have a look at this link, it will direct you to those trainers who use kind, fair and effective training as opposed to check chains and punishment.

You are never too old and good clubs will cater for the whole spectrum of dogs bar the severely anti social.

Thank you!!  It will be really good if we can find a nice friendly group of people that we could meet up with once a week!!  I want Glazby to really enjoy it as much as me!!  He is good with other dogs though just gets a bit over excited as he doesn't get to play with them very often - unfortunately he looks quite agressive (boxer) and so they either start on him or run away!!

I'll go and have a look at that site now - I've got my driving test next Tuesday and so hopefully I'll be mobile as of next week and can actually get to some classes in the area!!

Ah ha - just had a look and there are loads of people on there, just got to wait until Tuesday now to see if I pass - fingers crossed!!  :D
