Hi. Need some advice on how much should one pay for a puppy registered to Dog Lover Club.

To be honest I would not buy a puppy of any breed the was registered with the DLRC

They do not have any records of health checks etc & previous litters from the parents

No more than you would pay for a mongrel from a rescue centre.

Good breeders dont register there puppies with the DLC but with the KC instead But you will still need to make relavennt checks being registered with either club doesnt guarentee a good breeder or puppy.
May i suggest you contact the breed club they often keep lists of puppies available bred by reputable breeders from health tested stock.
i belive the relavent checks would be at the minimun eyes and heart and preferably hips as well.
im sure someone with more experiance of the bred will be along shortly.
regarding what you should pay for a unregistered /DLC puppy i would say no more than the cost of a x bred puppy as you have no guarentees the puppy is even pedigree,you will never be able to show the puppy in open or champ shows,and from a breeding side you will never find a reputable stud dog owner who is willing to mate a unregistered bitch,these things may seem completly irrelavant if you only want a pet, but would you pay for ten loaves of bred when you only wanted one?

I was told (when i came here for advice b4 i went to pick out my pup) that DLC registration was not worth the paper it was printed on!!

That is true they will register anything as long as you pay, no health checks noted on the registration certificate not records of how many litters the bitch has previously had kept

You could register X breeds as pedigree breeds there is no guarantee the puppy will bred by the person it is bought from

I could register puppies(I don't own any entire bitches)I had bought in say from Ireland as being bred by myself They would never know
