Ive been working at the same place in pensions now for 5 years and im BORED :(  I need a new challenge and thought you guys might have some suggestions.  In brief my qualifications are this ::
9 GCSE's
loads of RSA typing certificates
First Diploma Animal Care
National Diploma Animal Care (science)
CEFA 1,2 and 3 (finance exams, qualify me to be a financial advisor)
Studying towards my final mortgage exam and a technical pensions exam.

Ive worked in management, both of a petshop and in office.  Currently I have a technical specialist / under manager role.

My problem is money (isnt everyones  ) Im 26 and have quite a high mortgage and therefore need to earn £30,000 a year.  I always wanted to work with animals im particularly interested in being an RSPCA inspector but the money for a trainee is awful.  Im quite interested in customs and excise - the dog bit - but again the money is probably bad.  I really really really want to work outdoors, preferably with animals but not necessarily, I loved my college days working on the college farm - unfortunately that doesnt bring in the money either :(

Any ideas?
Claire

Why don't you try setting up on your own- doing small businesses books and self employed people's tax returns etc- that way you can spend all day at home- walking dogs when you want to- feeding them etc- you're always around- it's financial and it's animal care:-D  Or start looking in the paper for something that takes your fancy/  I left a place last year in the May to what I thought was a better move but it turned out disasterous- left and went somewhere else- crap too- and left and went somewhere else- that was okay but not ideal so when I saw a job in the paper- exactly what I want- 2 minute walk away from my house- school hours- just next to the school- flexible and good money (£1.60 per hour more than I was on)- I went for it- it was a long shot but I got the job:-D  I pop home to feed/see dogs in my lunch hour too:-)

Just try looking for something else it might surprise you what's out there- just beware of the crap companies- but you'll land a good one sooner or later!

P.S; I saw an advertisement for the RSPCA doing their books last week if you're interested in moving to Yorkshire.  See what/where/who does the books for your vets perhaps?

Unfortunately im only qualified to give financial advice (pensions life cover stuff like that) book keeping is a bit different, more accountant type stuff (I cant even add up without a calculator ;)  )  I could be a financial advisor and work from home but most of the pay is commission, and as I live on my own if I had a bad month I wouldnt want to have trouble paying my mortgage.  Looks like ill just have to move companies and hope I get a more challenging job !!!!!

As for the rich man thing, I might try Henley, its not too far from here :)
