Plenty of labrador Working Trial Champions in both PD and TD; can't help with obedience, sorry!

Patrick Holden had the only GR OB Champion with CDex UDex WDex TDex, a bitch called Melnola Bramble by Holway Corbiere.

- By labmad [gb] Date 03.03.04 15:59 UTC
No sorry not me.  P.S well done for your recent achievements!

Re - the vidoe problem, I live in Wales too and I am just going to set it on video plus! it's easier ha ha  It should say in the TV times or something if the times vary for Wales.
- By michelled [gb] Date 03.03.04 16:02 UTC
i cant use the video plus!!
i thought i might know you! did you go to swindon on the dot & ian watts course last year??
- By labmad [gb] Date 03.03.04 16:08 UTC
Oh it's dead easy the video plus you just type the number which you find next to the listed programme in  the TV times press timer record and voila.....it tapes the programme!

No sorry I didn't go to the course.

Whereabouts are you from in Wales?
- By michelled [gb] Date 03.03.04 16:15 UTC
minehead west somerset! i can see wales from my bed room!!well a great big power station!
theres a girl in wales who might be called emma(?) who has a lab who is doing well in beginners, she might have won out by now,i thought that was you! sorry!
Do you know who heather sheppard is? shes in the western team on sat with her GSD Mcloud, & i would imagine will be at GSD wales at cardiff at end of month
- By labmad [gb] Date 03.03.04 16:19 UTC
I'm from deepest darkest North Wales...well I am actually on the border with Chester.  I don't know Heather.  Who is the other emma with the lab in beginners.  I am emma with a lab and in beginners too!
- By michelled [gb] Date 03.03.04 16:26 UTC
i dont know her surname but will look it up for you.she ll be from southwales. she trains with a lady whose got a munster in C & a irish red & white setter(maybe still in novice may be out?). are you going to the show on the 4th? im going to try to go to that one.(north wales)
theres also a girl from bristol area who i think is called lucy who has a choc lab who is in beginners but i think won one of those specail pro beginners classes.

you really should try to go to the shows at cardiff, usually a few labs about there.
cefn coed near mryther is a lovely show too
- By labmad [gb] Date 03.03.04 16:44 UTC
I went to watch last year because my Lab was only a couple of months old.  It seemed like a really nice show and I remember thinking this time next year.....

I will keep an eye out for you there?

Will the schedules be on ObedienceUK for Cardiff shows then?
- By michelled [gb] Date 03.03.04 16:51 UTC
yep! obvisley the one on 28th of march has closed now, but there is one in sept/oct time that is a champ show.
when i was up north last weekend there was a chespeake bay retriever doing novice & A.

i will keep a eye out for you. im late 20s ,dyed blonde hair, size 12/14 ish. with 3 black & white collies.
if you hear a dog singing that will be nellie(mad cow!!)
- By michelled [gb] Date 03.03.04 16:59 UTC
it will be good if heather does work her lab. shes won a ticket with her gsd bitch & mcloud was in c in a season, shes a very good handler & trainer.i would guess her lab is about 10months now.
are you going to crufts?
- By labmad [gb] Date 03.03.04 17:03 UTC
I am about 5ft 11 blonde hair size 12/14ish and have a big yellow lab aged 13 months.  I will  e mail you a picture of my and H if that's ok?

Yes I am going to Crufts on Friday....lab heaven! Are you going?

It would be interesting to see Heather with her lab at work then because I haven't seen many labs in the ring.
- By michelled [gb] Date 03.03.04 17:09 UTC
im going to crufts on sat & sunday.
ive seen a few labs work, they tend to work really happily ,loads of waggy tails.but seem to work a little wide.all of heathers gsds work very close so i will imagine her lab will too. i will let you know if she starts to work her.
if you look on out & about,on ob uk,im on the swindon show with nellie & at liskeard with nellie & a very naughty tara.
im going home now!! bye, nice talking to you!
- By labmad [gb] Date 03.03.04 17:10 UTC
Nice talking to you too.  I haven't done much work though this afternoon! ha ha.

I will have a look for you on ob uk.

Speak to you soon.

If you're going to Crufts on Friday have a look at the Labradors in the Gamekeeper's ring. The real working lines. Some are a bit variable in appearance but there are some beautiful dogs with brains there.

Best wishes, John
- By labmad [gb] Date 04.03.04 09:19 UTC
Thanks John I am really looking forward to going to see the labs.  I will have a look at the Gamekeepers ring too.
