this is day 63 and my dog isnt showing much signs of going into labour today she has been sleeping a lot but today she had a drink of milk and was sick do you thing this could be a sign but later went on to eat her dinner fine also last night she was digging a bit she looks very sad and tired and i feel so helpless if not how overdue should i let her go before i contact the vet we had her scanned last week and there was 2 puppies but she said there may be more as she is a very deep bitch i am a little worried now can anyone give me some advice
The waiting is the worst time, isn't it? She could go a couple of days yet, or she could go tonight! Some bitches take ages and some just pop the pups out like peas. Every little movement will be 'is it time yet?' Try to be patient and calm - it'll help your bitch if she thinks you're not worried. Even if you are sh***ing bricks with worry

Let us know how she gets on - and good luck :D

sorry to be such a pain but my dog was due on wednesday so this would make it day 66 and still no real sign but she did have a second mateing a week later which would only make her day 59 i am so worried i dont know if she might be overdue or if it was just the second mating that worked what i want to know is if nothing happens next week how many days overdue will i let her go before i contact the vet thankyou
If she only took on the second mating the pups won't be due yet. I would take her to the vets on Monday if she looks distressed. If not then I would leave her for a few days. If she still hasn't produced anything by a day or two after they were due I would get her checed out by a vet anyway.

If she had a mating a week later then she may not have taken
until that date. However if unsure always go to the vet for
advice. He should be able to tell you if she needs a cesarean
or not. Dont worry yourself, just contact your vet.
Having a discharge is normal if clear. If it is pinkish/blood or
green and she has not contracted you may need to get to the
vets.
Let us know how she gets on.
