Sorry, another quick question - can anyone tell me whether, when you jointly own a dog, you both have to sign the entry forms for shows or can one person only sign.  I was discussing this with a friend the other day and neither of us are sure.

Only one signature needed. I have a bitch in a three way partnership, and as she lives with me and I pay the showing costs, only I sign the entry forms. Never had a problem, even with Crufts entries.

Technically all owners should sign every entry form, but as long as the form is signed most show secretaries will accept them

I own two dogs in partnership with other people, and we have always all signed the entry forms.  Better safe than sorry.

It's just not neccessary Vanhalla, as I said I have entered Crufts on two occasions with only one signature out of three owners. Gwen lives 45 minutes from me and Mike lives in Blackpool, 3 hours away, so it would be highly inconvenient to have to get all 3 signatures every time. Never ever had a problem.

I always put myself and my husband down as owners and I'm the only one who signs the form (probably because left up to him we'd never enter any!)  I've never had any queries with it.

My husband always signs the forms .... I'm very good at forging his signature (shhhh ....... :) )
