Has anyone tried this with huskies. I have vague recollections of discussing it with a malamute owner at an AMWA fun weekend last year and how he used it in his garden.

In a last minute effort to get some greenery into the garden, (well now that the builders are laying the patio and have dug up the remains of the grass), I thought I should at least consider it in a small patch of the garden so that i can pretend to have grass when I look out of my windows onto it.

Is is husky proof or will it be dug up in seconds? Has anyone tried this stuff out?

hi,
No i havnt tried it yet but we were seriously thinking about it so our bullmastiffs didnt have a "banned" area of the garden.
Let me know what you come up with,it would be an interesting read!

I've got astro turf laid down in my dog run and it's fab :)  It's hardwearing, keeps all the mud at bay and just needs jet washing down to keep clean.
The dogs find it really comfortable to lie/play on as it's just like a thick green all weather carpet.  I'd certainly recommend it.  Had mine down for years and it's still as good as new.

Oh and where did you get it from.  The stuff I was looking at was the Grass Park Senior stuff

Hmmm not sure which one mine is - it is used as all weather football pitches so it's extremely hard wearing and it's laid on a sand base.  It doesn't appear really tufted - more like a smooth indoor carpet - only grass green and external :)
I was lucky enough to get mine as surplus for free :D

If you look on a site Sobarna Tibetan Mastiffs. the chap is a Landscape gardener and he has a bit on his site that deals with the grass problem it is a kind of atificale solution, really do not know how to describe it but it is worth a look

Anything to keep the mud at bay! Please anybody??????????????????????? My garden is in dire need of a makeover! It is so muddy and full of craters let by those pesky black creatures....... If you find anything at all let me know. I'll look at the mastiff site as well!

hi,
If any of you are going to crufts they sell the "2nd hand" grass at cut price(you know the stuff they use for best in show etc)its only used for the 4 days so is still good as new.
I pressume they do this every year(well i know last year they did)
