Topic Dog Boards / Showing / judges question

Can someone tell me how many times someone can give cc's to one breed over a certain time.  I mean, is it once every year, two years or even less often.  Also, is there a limit at open shows?   Only wondering because I have a list of judges in my breed for this year and last, and am wondering when they have judged before or likely to again.  thanks

From my understanding, Judges can award CC's to the same breed with a 12 month gap between appointments. However, it gets a bit confusing, as they could be judging the dogs (males), at one show, then be the judge for bitches at another show, less than 12 months away. I don't think there are any KC rules for time between judging appointments at Open Shows, but most Open Show societies have "rules" of their own,. For e.g. must not have judged the breed within a 100 mile radius, in the previous 6 months etc. So this could restrict where someone accepts an appointment. Hope this helps, and that I have not confused you too much?
