I am interested in buying a smooth collie puppy for a family pet (not necessarily show quality). Can you direct me to a breeder? I live in Pittsburgh, PA so a breeder in the the eastern half of the United States would be preferable.

I wish I could suggest something other than looking in the back of Dog World or Dog Fancy in the advertisements for a breeder.. Just to let you know, this is a British site so the vast majority of posters are Brits. -- so I don't know if you'll get any useful help here...just warning, in case no one else answers you. I'm just an American in Germany longing to chat in English about dogs with people in only one time zone away. But if anyone can answer you, they will. They're really great here.

I think your best bet is to contact the Collie Club of America and see if they keep a breeder or puppy list :-)
