I've stopped gettiing email notification of PM's and replies to my posts :( Have emailed Admin and they suggested a spam filter I may have installed, or aol blocking them.
I'm still receiving junk about Viagra and Prozac etc though

Is anyone else having this problem?? Or even better, anyone know how to correct it?
liberty

just to add, have not installed any spam filters recently!!

Hi Liberty think its aol cos the same is happening to me :( Gillian
It's so annoying Gillian, I can't keep up with whats going on at the best of times  First of all I thought I'd been 'sent to coventry'!!!
I think I'll email AOL, and see if they can sort it out.
liberty :)
Hi Liberty,
Could you change the email address you are using for the forum to something other than the one you have registered just now and see if that works.
If you have changed settings recently you could run system restore on your puter to a time when email was working properly.
Kind regards,
Linda :-D
Thanks Linda, might give it a go!
I haven't changed any settings recently, they came through one minute, then nothing.........
Thanks again
liberty :)
It's happening with me too, I was just about to post about it. I'm with Force9 not AOL, but I did download Ad-aware recently, don't know if that would affect it.

Liberty,
I haven't had any e-mail replies to the one post I wanted them for :( Not clever enought to know why. :( I'm aol too so I blame them
But I'm not with AOL Joe, so why have I got a problem too? :(

Because you're awkward dear ;)

AOL are to blame for every thing, if it wasn't for AOL I wouldn't have drilled through a cable today, then if I hadn't done that I wouldn't have had to lift the floor boards, and if I
hadn't lifted the floor boards, then I wouldn't have put a screw through the central heating pipe putting them back, and if wasn't for AOL we wouldn't have had snow here today for the first time for years, so it wouldn't have taken me hours to get to B&Q for spare parts because the builders merchants had closed early because of AOL and the snow.
So all in all AOL have got a lot to answer for, not least of which because they clog up your computer with useless content, when all you need is a number to connect to the internet, and there email doesn't intergrate with any thing else, I'm so glad I don't have AOL.

The same thing is happening to me - I've got AOL too. Have any of you found a solution yet? :(

The problem is not at this end.
I've been onto AOL, and they've filed a report  and they did say it would be sorted out in a couple of days, then they tried to flog me Broadband!!
liberty :)

Typical Aol! That is the only solution to keep on at them they do eventually sort these things cos I have had similar trouble before with e-mails from breed groups I'm a member of but it is irratating at times grrr( I can only connect to Aol for some strange reason even though I've tried numerous other service providers) Gillian

Liberty - I've had Broadband for about 6 months but I've still got the problem with reply notification. I've reported it to AOL. I'll threaten to change to another provider if it doesn't get sorted soon.

I have been on to AOL and they gave me a site to contact - postmaster.inf.aol.com but I didn't get a connection. They say they aren't blocking CD. I've had to re-register with a new email address from yahoo - hence the new name 'annieeee'. I used an alternative AOL email addie but couldn't get the password from CD!!!!! AAAAaaahhhhhhhhh
Slightly off topic except that you are all grumbing about AOL - they are not accepting posts from BT AGAIN at the moment :(

I'm still having problems. I spent ages with online help and on the phone. AOL insist the problem is CDs. If enough people complain maybe they'll sort it out. I have re-registered with a new email (from Yahoo) I now receive notifications. Surely if the prob was with CD then i wouldn't get notification on yahoo mail????? I'm getting sick of aol now.
Has anyone got sorted out yet?
:) Annieeee :)
I spent ages with them too :( If the problem was CD's end then no-one would recieve the email notifaction, which I pointed out to AOL, it's mainly their members who are having the problem :( I'll wait till I get back from Crufts, and if it's still not working I'll get back onto them.

We are now getting direct password requests from members that have active aol email addresses. Not only are PM not getting through but passwords also. You need to take it up with AOL.

i have spoken to AOL both online and by phone. They are adamant that the problem is at Champdogs end and not theirs. I told them that since I changed to Yahoo mail I'm not having any problems but they are still not interested. If enough people get in touch, they'll surely have to do something. I'm considering changing to another provider. Any suggestions ? :)
