I've just been on Tiscalis site and they are offering a broadband X 3 (3 times faster than normal connection time) for £15.99, I'm with freeserve anytime at the moment and am sure I'm paying £14.99 per month. Is anyone with Tiscali? Any problems I should know about? This sounds too goood to be true for just one pound more per month.

I'm with Force9 and they do a 3x broadband for £15.99, so may be that's the going rate. :)

I switched from Tiscali to aol. I had a few problems and the 'Help' was in German (or it could have been french or italian or any other language). It kept throwing me out so I switched back to aol. Mind, we haven't got broadband where I live so I'm commenting on something totally different to what you asked so I shall go away. :)

I am with freeserve and I am going over to Tiscali 3X, sounds a better deal for £1.00 difference.

I'm with BT for 29.99, seems an awful lot of difference to the ones mentioned???? Luckily my two sons pay £10.00 each per month and £10.00 myself as they use it so much more than me, but nevertheless if I can get it cheaper I may as well.

Tiscali made 500 folk redundant over the last 2 years - including myself - I wouldn't give them a penny even if i were skinned and held in a vat of boiling acid.

I was with Tiscali and switched to AOL. I personally got fed up with all the spam mail, most of it of a sexual nature. I checked my old e.mail the other day and in less then two months I had 237 e.mails with an adult content. I only get one or two a week from AOL and for some reason they are all trying to sell me Viagra!!
The AOL ones only get through because the headings are in code. Tiscali let them through with explicite titles.

I have AOL Broadband. Had it around 2 months or just less. It cuts me of sometimes every two minutes or so on some nights. Is yours okay? Getting a bit fed up with it at the moment and dont know whether to persevere or get rid of it.
Many thanks
Gina :p

Mine used to cut out around every two hours, shouldn't at two minutes. It was due I think to having an out of date computer that couldn't cope with it. Now I have a new computer it stays on as long as I need it, no problems. I haven't got Broadband though, only dial up. I would have thought broadband was better. Try their online help, you can type in your problem live to a person the other end.

Aol went through a phase of cutting people off after 2 hrs weather you wanted to or not. (said it was to give eveyone a chance getting online) They lost hundreds of customers including myself so they stopped doing it. I was paying for unlimited service but wasn't getting it so i switched to ntl broadband. I worked out with my second line rental and aol sub it would cost me 2 pound more for broadband. It was nothing to do with an out of date pc just conicidence.
