Was there a white stick in the corner of the vets?

LOL :D :D
Probably a vetinary nurse or receptionist filled it in and didn't LOOK close enough.

A BLIND vetinary nurse maybe. I'm thick as a chip but even I can tell the difference between a husky and a GSD.
Husky's usually have sledges ;)

Not really surprised as I have forgotten how often my Elkhounds have been mistaken for a GSD amongst other breeds, not by a vet mind you but we have confused a few judges.

People often ask me if Janska (siberian Husky) is an Akita?! Never seen an Akita with blue eyes before!! although they have some simular features.

I saw a norwegian buhund several years ago and commented to her owner how nice it was to see one since they are not very common. The owner then 'corrected me' and said the dog was a 4 year old akita...the rescue centre had told her so!!

My GSD get mistaken for white wolves, and the pup is down on the records as black and tan even tougth she is clearly white. lol

I imagine GSD's with their varing coat lengths and Husky pups can well look similar - many breeds are difficult to identify 100% when pups
You should have a Munsterlander. We constantly get "What kind of spaniel is that?" or "Isn't it a bit big for a spaniel?" or "What did you cross the dalmation with?". The best one though has to be the 'Afghan' someone was walking in Dundee.

Won't say who it was though :D

I can tell you now that Addison was very proud of his "Afghan's coat"......obviously Mia didn't inherit that gene! ;)

On Dicksy's vaccination record it looks a right mess as the Nurses Firstly spelt his name wrong as in Dixie! wrote 3mths for his age even though he was 8wks, in descriptions wrote Black and White and he's Blue Roan doesn't instill me with faith but at least he was vaccinated ........well as far as I can tell! Lol

When I had Saffy chipped at the vet after her 2nd jab the nurse filled in the form, when I got Saffys PetLog certificate back it said
Name: Saffay
Breed: Unknown
Colour: Unknown
Sex: Unknown
The nurse must have been blind because she filled in the form in front of me and Saffy and Saffy is definitely a white Boxer and female, even if she couldnt be bothered the info was in Saffys notes held by the vet!!!!
I had to send the certificate back to have it ammended.

How does one ignore the colour and sex of a dog standing just in front? Or, is the word 'blind' really applicable and not a joke?
my white akita-inu got mistaken for a samoyed at the vets...he asked me if she had just been clipped!!!!!!
