do any other water babies suffer in this way?
- By Sally [gb] Date 26.02.04 15:58 UTC
Yes,  Although it's not so much to do with the amount of water they swallow, it's the warm water relaxing their bladder.  My dogs swim once a week and they pee for England afterwards. :D

he does swallow alot because he dives for the kongs on a rope! he burps alot too!
- By Sally [gb] Date 26.02.04 16:09 UTC
Nope we don't get burping.  They do swim for toys but only ones that float.  Does Flynn dive to the bottom? How deep is your pool?

sort of cheast height. he would dive qite deep i expect but the jacket wont let him!!! the kongs sort of sink then float back up but if he can see them under neath he goes for it! dosent care bout water in ears eyes or mouth!
i had to stop going in the evenings cos he would keep me up all night needing to go out! bless!

Wow, neither of my 2 swimming mutts would dip their heads!  Puglet is SO, SO careful to keep her little nose above the water!  She swims around looking very snooty, with the nose pointed upwards (of course, it is a very short, small nose)  Dexter just concentrates on the swimming, very methodical.  Neither will play with toys in the water.  Dexter does pee a lot when he gets out, but no difference with Puglet.

My dogs pee a lot when they have been playing out in the snow for a while.
I put it down to the amount they must eat, while catching snowballs.

Where do your dogs all swim? I'd love to find a pool where I could take Sparky, as my heart is in my mouth every time he goes in the river. He loves to swim.

Mine swim at Triple A, just outside of Sunderland, although in the Summer Dexter takes a dip in the Sea at Whitburn & Seaburn too.

Swim my labs but no problem with peeing.  Ebony could swim under the water to get sinking balls about the deepest she went down was 3 foot but she had no problems with it at all.
