Can anyone come from Germany, buy a pup in England & take it home without any problems ?

Just curious...

I am sure you can so long as you have the appropriate paper work from your vet. The only problems I know that can occur are the dog sometimes not being able to travel with you on a flight! But I suppose if you go by car and ferry then it is more than likely easier.

Shouldn't be too difficult.  Pup will probably need an 'Export Health Certificate' if its goingto Germany to live....contact DEFRA for more info on whether this is required.  Allow about a month to get forms from them, and subsequently apply for said Cert...

The main problems with travelling dogs occur when they're coming *IN* to England from abroad.

Hope this helps

To take an animal into a Member State other than the UK, Ireland or Sweden from any Member State or from a low-risk third country, it must have been identified by a microchip (or certain countries may accept a tattoo), successfully vaccinated against rabies and issued with a passport.

Q13. What are the rules for moving dogs and cats under 3 months old?

A13. The movement between certain Member States of dogs and cats that are under 3 months old and unvaccinated may be allowed. They must be accompanied by a passport and have stayed in the place where they were born since birth without contact with wild animals likely to have been exposed to rabies, or be accompanied by their mothers on whom they are still dependent.

The entry into Member States of dogs and cats that are under 3 months old and unvaccinated may be allowed from certain third countries. The conditions that will apply will be agreed later.
