Hi
I have a yellow lab called Harry. He is 6. His coat is moulting, and it seems to be the under coat.
What I want to know is, can anybody recommend a brush that I can use to comb the undercoat. Somebody said to bathe him in Pantene, but I haven't done it yet.
I use the oil that goes into his food for moulting and it has worked in the past. He just needs more help right now.
Any ideas?

When my old lab was moulting I had great success with a simple straightforward metal comb. It took out the loose undercoat brilliantly.

Rubber "Hound Glove". The sort with little bobbles on the palm like the face of a table tennis bat.

Best wishes, John

A magic tool called a zoom groom, most pet supermarkets stock them or equivilent they are a bit like a horse curry comb made of knobbly rubber, the dogs love it as it gives a massage too so they will stand for ages, plus it stimulates the hair follicles and gives a lovely shine..........my beagles wouldnt be without it
