My six month old great dane dog has developed a clicking sound that seems to be origionating from his front legs when walking especially up stairs. It is not consistant but comes and goes. The vet and other people have told me that it is just due to excess weight on his under developed joints and that it will correct itself. Has anyone got any views or information ??? thanks

Firstly, stop him going up and down stairs.

Secondly, what diet is he on? Does he have any vitamin C?

Thirdly, What exercise is he having?
