Hi,
we are in the process of having a new puppy.
very exciting time. contacted breeder very early and offered a little boy ( cocker)
was promised updates from the breeder but 2 weeks later heard nothing
so we emailed and phoned again, got very little info.
and told cant view until 6 weeks. we were fine with that and happy to wait.
puppy is now 6 weeks old and we have been the ones emailing and phoning, no forthcoming info and still no viewing date.
are we wasting our time here?
help and advice welcome.
Alan and pat.
i would hear alarm bells ringing here. A good breeder will have made a viewing date by now. I know I let people come about 4-6 weeks for a look, depending on circumstances. If it were me I'd look elsewhere. The breeder may have problems but I feel that's no excuse. They should be friendly to people who are getting a pup from them. JMHO.

I agree with Lindylou. It sounds as if they are stringing you along for some reason. Look elsewhere.
To add the others posts, a good breeder would also want to get to know prospective puppy people, you never know they may be waiting for the pups to arrive and from where?????? A good puppy is worth waiting for I would also go somewhere else.
Hi there,To be quite honest they might even be waiting for you to phone them to see how much you really want this pup when i was waiting for my megan i didnt give the breeder chance to phone when she said she would i would always beat her too it i didnt care if they got fed up with me or not she was my baby i even went to see her once a week fm 2 wks, but then again she didnt even hone too see how she was settling in
It sounds a bit worring but id give them a ring and ask if there is a problem.
I dont allow people to see puppies until they are 4-5 weeks old but having said that I send email pictures and updates twice a week from birth.:)
